Sariska Tiger Reserve

Sariska is near Alwar city and is popular known for Sariska Tiger Reserve. Read more about the place here.

When we entered Sariska, I told both of them, here the road would be super F'ed up. I was told by Anukraman sir that the maintenance of the roads through the reserve is bad. This is done in order to keep the people passing through the reserve in slow speeds. We just entered the reserve and both Shobhit and Jeetu were mesmerized by the beauty of the place. Shobhit was constantly missing his friends as last year he went to Siliserh Lake with his office group. We also passed through the road which ends up on Siliserh. Shobhit was all nostalgic and was sharing all those moments with us. Even I was feeling nostalgic about the whole thing, because on these roads I have traveled many times with Anukraman Sir to find a suitable track for The Monsoon Ride 2010.

As you enter Sariska reserve from Alwar side, after a few kilometers you can see a dried water body. There is  a small diversion kind of thing which crosses over the dried water body and again meets at the same F'ed up road. I asked Shobhit to take that turn and enjoy the beauty of the place. As soon as we reached there, we jumped out of car and started posing for the camera. Jeetu got familiar with a local guy who was there with a flock of goats. He also posed with a some weapon that looked like a sickle. He was looking like a executioner. Here are some pictures.

Soon after posing for the camera, I asked Shobhit to speed up a bit as we were lagging as per our schedule. But, Sariska did it all for us. To cover the entire 25 Km stretch, it took us more than a hour. WTF, seriously it was a WTF thing for us. Just after we crossed Sariska, we started asking for directions from the locals out there, as we had lost enough time because of those F'ed up roads.

We had to take the route via Tehla, but because some locals told us that we should go via Thanagazi, we took that road and that was the biggest mistake that we made.

Contd.
